Assessment of Sequelae of Untreated Dental Caries using PUFA index in Children Visiting a Tertiary Center in Kathmandu

Introduction: Dental caries is still a major health problem in most countries as it school-aged children and adults also. continues to be public problem, especially low- middle- income countries. Method: This study was conducted assess the untreated using pufa/PUFA index. A hospital based cross sectional carried out 297 aged 2-12 years old. Caries status assessed by dmft/DMFT index Results: The “untreated PUFA ratio” population 30.69%. mean dmft 5.51+3.59, pufa 1.39+1.48 DMFT 0.43+1.03 0.11+0.46 respectively for primary permanent teeth.
